Update #4: no more stopping at ten

New

Finding things without scrolling forever. My items, the item catalogue, and the admin items list all used to stop after ten entries, with no way to reach anything added after that. Fixed across the board: the catalogue now loads more items as you scroll, and admin's items, articles, and users lists get proper pagination controls. Search boxes are new too, on My items and when adding items to a collection or a place, and admin's items list gets one as well, alongside a filter for public or private, matching the catalogue's own search.

Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. New pages, linked from the footer.

A faster way to your own profile. The account dropdown now links straight to your own profile, and an admin looking at someone's details can jump to their profile from there too.

Who you're dealing with. Lending, gifting, or selling an item now offers to add the other person to your contacts, if they aren't one already.

Visibility at a glance. My collections shows each collection's visibility as an icon next to its name, and a collection's own page shows the same icon next to the visibility label.

Better link previews. Sharing a link to a blog post or a catalogue item now shows useful preview text, pulled from the post's subtitle or the item's summary.

Fixed

A pause before you spend. Adding an item to your collection charged you credits the instant you clicked "Add to my items", with no chance to back out. It now asks you to confirm the cost first.

Broken image icons. Admin's users list and a user's admin page showed a broken image icon for users without an avatar. A placeholder now.

A flash of the wrong theme. Visiting with your system set to dark mode, before you'd chosen a theme of your own, showed a flash of the light theme before switching over.

Five pictures, not two rows. A catalogue item with more than five pictures wrapped its strip of thumbnails onto a second row, covering the main picture. Catalogue items are capped at five now, matching your own items and collections.

Long summaries. Entering a summary longer than 255 characters when adding an item crashed the page and lost what you'd typed. It shows a validation error instead now.

Items already in a collection. Adding items to a collection still offered an item copy that was already in it, as long as it was also in another collection, instead of hiding it as already added.

Changed

Sidebar links renamed. "My Items", "My Collections", "My Places", and "My Contacts", to make clear they show only your own.

Under the hood

Two quiet fixes landed before they ever caused a problem: searching articles by a term with a character like ( or & in it would have raised an error instead of returning no results, and the visibility picker on your profile and a collection's settings would have silently dropped a validation error instead of showing it. Neither had been noticed yet. Consider it prevention.
