Welcome to Collectiary. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Collectiary (the "Service"), operated by Laestrygon ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Collectiary is a personal cataloguing tool that lets you record, organise, and track collections of physical items - including where they're stored, who they're lent to, and records of gifting or selling them to other users ("Contacts"). Collectiary is not a marketplace, payment processor, escrow service, or shipping provider: any lending, gifting, or selling arranged through the Service happens directly between you and the other party, entirely outside of Collectiary. We do not verify item condition, value, ownership, or the identity of Contacts, and we are not a party to any such arrangement.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You can create an account with an email and password, a passkey, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@collectiary.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of everything you add to Collectiary - item descriptions, photos, notes, collections, and place records ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you (and to anyone you explicitly share it with, such as a Contact you lend an item to) solely to operate the Service. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload what you upload, and for its accuracy.
4. Credits
The Service may award "credits" - an in-app balance with no monetary value - as rewards for certain actions. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred outside the Service, or redeemed for goods or services from us. We may adjust, reset, or discontinue credits at any time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to others;
- upload content that infringes someone else's rights or that you don't have permission to share;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- use the Service to facilitate a transaction you know to be illegal (e.g. selling stolen or prohibited items).
6. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@collectiary.com - see our Privacy Policy for details on what happens to your data.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any arrangement made with a Contact will go as expected. We are not responsible for the condition, authenticity, or value of any item, or for disputes between you and a Contact.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Laestrygon will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or from any lending, gifting, or selling arrangement made through it.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
