The first of these, and it's an unglamorous one: this batch is mostly repair work.
New
A blog. You're reading it. Updates like this one will land here, along with anything else worth saying.
Explanations on category details. Every extra detail a category asks for can now carry a note, shown under the field as you fill it in. No more guessing what Matrix Runout wants from you.
Fixed
Sharing and privacy. Items could be given away, lent, or sold by people who did not own them. Profiles set to public were visible to nobody.
Lending. The borrowed items page failed to open once you actually had items on loan. Opening a borrowed item displayed "Item not found"; it now has its own page showing who lent it to you and when it is due back. Marking an item as returned also failed if it had been lent without a return date.
Photos. Collections and profiles failed to open if any item in them had no picture. Deleting an item's photo hid its lend, gift, and sell buttons. Items without a photo of their own now borrow the one from the catalogue.
Forms. Mistakes are shown as you type rather than only after saving. Editing an item no longer requires retyping every required detail. If you run out of credits, a message now clearly explains this and shows how many more you need.
Layout. Several pages stacked their columns on top of each other instead of placing them side by side, including your profile, profile settings, and the admin pages.
Signing in. Google sign-in failed for accounts with no profile picture.
Under the hood
The look was rebuilt on a new foundation. Colours and both themes are unchanged, so this should be invisible to you, but it gives us a component library to build the next screens from. This means future screens will arrive faster.
The automated test suite grew from 203 tests to 1023. That is the real reason this list is so long: nearly every fix on it was found by writing a test for something that had none.
