New
Category pages. Every public category now has its own page, such as /books, with its description and a searchable list of its items. The categories on the home page open these pages.
Filters. On the items and category pages, pick a category and then narrow the list by any searchable field. Numbers and dates take from/to ranges, and a year or a month is enough. Pairs like player counts take a single number, so "5" finds every game for 5 players.
Click a detail to see more like it. Click an author, publisher, series and the like on an item page to see every item in the category with the same value, then search further within them. Searches stay in the page address, so you can share them and they survive a reload.
Filter your own items the same way. On your own item's page, click a detail to see which of your items share it, private ones included. My items has the same filter panel, showing only the categories you have items in, with the active filters as chips you can remove.
Sort your collections. Sort a collection's items by name, by newest added to the collection, or by newest copies. The collection page, its preview on your profile and My collections all use the same order.
Delete a place. You can now delete a place from its page. The places inside it are deleted too, the items kept there stay in your collection without a place, and the credits you paid for creating those places are refunded.
Changed
New layout for your item's page. Your item's page now looks more like the public item page. The main image sits next to the details and description, with the lend, gift and sell actions beside it. The place it is kept in, along with the places around it, is linked under the title.
Tidier item pages. Item pages show the summary under the name and the details above the description. Long descriptions are shortened, with "View more" to read the rest.
Item addresses include the category. Item pages moved under their category, such as /books/the-hobbit. Old links still work and redirect to the new address.
Shared names across categories. Items in different categories can now have the same name, so a book and a film can both be called "The Hobbit".
Places list items by name. Items in a place are now sorted by name.
Better search engine visibility. Search engines now get the main address of each item and category page, and the sitemap lists category pages too.
Fixed
Numbers are now stored as numbers. Numbers in item details, such as page count or players, used to be saved as text. They are now saved as numbers, existing items included, so number filters find them.
Returned items show up properly. Marking a lent item as returned no longer hides its collections and details until you reload the page.
